When Google announced its Google Fiber plan to build a free ultra-high speed fiber optic infrastructure in select cities around the nation, we showed our support for an official pitch on behalf of the city of Scranton by developing a logo for the initiative which changed Scranton’s nickname from “The Electric City” to “The Fiber City.” The design integrated the color scheme utilized in Google’s branding to establish a distinct Fiber City brand that became the face of Scranton’s Google Fiber application in a comprehensive online and regional awareness campaign.
